Chief Communications Officer
Applications are now being accepted for the Chief Communications Officer in the Communications Department at Ada County Highway District in the Boise, Idaho area. This is an exempt, full-time position with a starting wage of $96,242 - $115,482 annually, DOQ.

Primary Duties:
- The Chief Communications Officer is responsible for providing strategic leadership in the management of the District's public information, public relations, and community/business relations programs.
- The incumbent is responsible for promoting a positive image of the District through education and information exchange and will work closely with the Director and Commissioners to recommend appropriate courses of action regarding public relations issues.
- The incumbent will direct, supervise, and manage the activities and staff of the Communications Department.
Qualifications:
- Qualified candidates must have comprehensive knowledge of communications strategic planning and development; experience implementing public relations programs as well as comprehensive knowledge of Federal, State and local agency regulations concerning open meetings, records and reporting requirements.
- Experience utilizing social media as a part of public outreach programs and business/community relations techniques.
- Comprehensive knowledge of public engineering and construction programs is highly desirable.
- The successful candidate will have the ability to professionally represent the District as the designated spokesperson and will have prior work experience in the field of public relations.
- Qualified candidates will have graduated from a college or university with a degree in Communications, Public Relations or a related field.
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, abilities and experience will be considered.
