Fairview Avenue just west of Five Mile Road will be closed to through traffic starting at 9 p.m. on Friday, August 20 and will reopen to traffic at 5 a.m. on Monday, August 23. Crews will replace a storm drain pipe that spans all travel lanes on the west approach of Fairview near Rite Aid. Please see the attached map for closure location.
Business access will be open, however; no through traffic will be allowed on Fairview, west of Five Mile.
Beginning at 9 p.m. on Friday, August 27 through 5 a.m., Monday, August 30, a full intersection closure will be in place at Fairview and Five Mile. Boise City will replace a sewer line in coordination with the intersection widening project. Work will occur in the middle of the intersection and on Five Mile. Local access and access to businesses near the intersection will be open, however delays are possible and vehicles will not be allowed through the intersection.
The $2.4 million intersection project is expected to be complete in November. When finished, it will improve traffic flow with new right and left turn lanes and additional through lanes. For more information on this project or the latest on all road construction projects in Ada County, log on to
