Bridge construction to close stretch of Five Mile Road
Boise– The replacement of a small canal crossing bridge on Five Mile Road will close Five Mile Road between Ustick Road and McMillan Road to through traffic beginning Monday, February 7, 2011. The work is expected to be complete in mid-March. Residents who live in the area will be able to access their homes off of Five Mile from the north or south, however a full road closure will be in place near the bridge and no traffic will be allowed to cross. Area vehicles wishing to travel north and south will need to take Maple Grove or Cloverdale. Please see the attached map of the bridge location and impacted area.
The Five Mile Bridge, which crosses a canal will be removed and replaced because of structural deterioration. Work will also include the removal and replacement of curb, gutter and sidewalk near the bridge.
