Kuna- Construction on the King Road Bridge will begin as early Monday, February 14. The project will replace the King Road Bridge, which crosses the Benton Lateral, located just east of Black Cat Road. The 49-year-old bridge is being rebuilt because of structural deterioration.
During construction, King Road will be closed from Black Cat Road to Ten Mile Road. Closing the road will reduce the length of construction and therefore minimize impacts to area residents and traveling public. Construction is expected to be complete by the end of March.
Residents who live in the area will be able to access their homes off of King Road from the east or west, however a full road closure will be in place near the bridge and no traffic will be allowed to cross.
The $87,000 project is being constructed by Braun-Jensen, Inc. of Payette, Idaho.
