Changes in effect for two Meridian roadways— one opens, another temporarily closes

Locust Grove Road north of McMillan Road

A six week closure of Locust Grove Road, north of McMillan Road was lifted this afternoon and the road was reopened to traffic, one day ahead of schedule. The closure was in place for the intersection improvement project in progress at the McMillan and Locust Grove intersection. During the closure crews widened the north intersection approach, replaced a canal bridge and performed utility work. Lane restrictions at the intersection are still in place.

The $2.2 million intersection widening project remains on schedule with completion anticipated for mid-to late-August. The intersection is being widened and a traffic signal is being constructed. The project also includes sidewalks/pathway and bike lanes.

Victory Road between Meridian Road and Locust Grove Road

A one month closure of Victory Road between Meridian Road and Locust Grove Road went into effect today for an ongoing City of Meridian sewer project. The sewer work requires digging a deep trench near the road and eventually working in the travel lanes. Closing the road will create a safer environment for motorists and crews. Local access will be maintained for those who live off of Victory between Meridian and Locust Grove. It is anticipated the road will re-open in early May.

As a public service, ACHD provides information about lane restrictions and closures for both ACHD and non-ACHD work.  For the latest on all road work happening in Ada County, visit and click on Road Work in the Area.
