Night work at Milwaukee and Franklin railroad crossing to impact traffic

Boise – Work to repair damaged planks that surround the railroad tracks at Milwaukee Street, just north of Franklin Road will begin tonight at 8 p.m. A Boise Valley Railroad crew will replace the damaged planks which are located in a southbound left turn lane on Milwaukee. One left turn lane is expected to remain open during the work. Crews will work through the night and anticipate finishing before the morning rush hour on Thursday (June 23).

During the work, the traffic signal at Milwaukee and Franklin will be flashing red, requiring drivers to stop before proceeding. In addition, flaggers will be in place at the intersection to direct traffic.

The railroad is owned and managed by Boise Valley Railroad.
