Project wraps up at Maple Grove and Hackamore intersection; new traffic signal to be turned on Wednesday afternoon

Boise- The newly improved intersection of Maple Grove Road and Hackamore Drive will officially open to traffic and the new traffic signal will be put into operation on Wednesday (November 9) at 2 p.m. District 3 Ada County Commissioner Vern Bisterfeldt, a resident of south Boise and an advocate of the project, will flip the switch on the new signal. This will take place on the west approach of the intersection and media are invited to attend.

The intersection project, which began in August, constructed a traffic signal to increase safety and improve access to nearby businesses and homes. The project also added a left turn lane for each direction on Maple Grove, which required widening Maple Grove near the intersection.

Some additional work will occur near the intersection in the weeks to come, however most of the finishing work will take place alongside the roadway.
The $550,000 project was constructed by C&A Paving of Boise.
