Water main break damage on Overland between Cloverdale and Five Mile to impact evening commute

Ada County Highway District (ACHD) crews, along with water company crews and law enforcement, are on the scene of a water main break that occurred late this afternoon on Overland Road between Cloverdale and Five Mile roads.

The water main break is under control, but left behind significant damage to the roadway. At the time of this advisory, the eastbound travel lanes are closed. However, crews are working to open one lane in each direction to accommodate east and westbound traffic on Overland between Cloverdale and Five Mile.

Drivers should anticipate delays through the evening commute.

Signs and road barricades are in place for eastbound Overland motorists to alert them of the current closure. Drivers may opt to take Franklin Road or Victory Road as an east-west alternate route.

Crews anticipate the road repair work will happen this weekend, with possible lane restrictions in place through early next week.
