Boise - Warm Springs Avenue between E. Starview Drive and E. Starcrest Drive reopened to traffic this morning. This portion of Warm Springs had been closed for more than two weeks after a 50-ton boulder fell from the Warm Springs Mesa, and local experts identified more rocks along the Mesa that could potentially pose a danger to motorists.
Warm Springs Avenue reopens to traffic
After a contractor removed a handful of rocks early this week, crews went to work placing more than 1200 feet of concrete guard rail in two different areas along the foot of the Mesa.
The road was reopened to traffic at 9 a.m. this morning. Ada County Highway District crews will continue to be watchful for fallen rocks during their nightly patrols of the Warm Springs Mesa.
