Meridian – The Ada County Highway District will be closing streets temporarily over the weekend to accommodate the Dairy Days Parade, as well as on-going road construction on Franklin Road.
Dairy Days Parade in Meridian to temporarily close roads on Friday night
· Dairy Days Parade—The parade takes place on Friday (June 19) at 7 p.m. Road closures will begin at 6:30 p.m., and roads will be reopened by 9 p.m. The event is expected to draw more than 15,000 spectators. The parade route is as follows:
o Participants will line up on Waterford Drive and head north on Stratford Drive. From there, the parade will proceed west on Franklin Road, north on NE 3rd Street, west on Bower Street, north on Main Street, east on Fairview Avenue, south on NE 2 ½ Street, east on Carlton Avenue, south on 3rd Street, east on Bower Street, south on NE 5th Avenue, east on Franklin Road, then south on Stratford Drive where the parade will end.
Traffic detours will be posted, and police will be on hand to help guide motorists and spectators.
