Kuna – Starting Monday (February 15), the Ada County Highway District will close the intersection at Linder Avenue/Main Street/3rd Street in Kuna to begin construction on the roundabout. Traffic will be detoured as follows:
Construction begins on the Roundabout at the intersection of Linder/Main/3rd in Kuna
· 3rd Street/Main Street will be detoured to Cleveland Avenue, then to 4th Street
· Linder Avenue will be detoured to 2nd and 4th streets
Business and emergency access will be maintained, and detour and business access routes will be posted. The closure will be in place for the next three months. Crews will work between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Weekend work is anticipated.
Once the roundabout is completed, the intersection will reopen, but additional work will be required on Linder Avenue and 2nd Street.
This project will include a single lane roundabout at the intersection of Linder Avenue/Main Street/3rd Street; sidewalk and bicycle facilities; an enhanced pedestrian crossing at 2nd Street and Linder; and a crosswalk at 4th Street and Linder.
This project will improve safety, enhance mobility, and accommodate future traffic volumes.
