Events and road work to impact local traffic starting this weekend

Ada County – The Tour de Fat Boise Bicycle Parade and road work on the roadways will have minor impacts to traffic starting tomorrow (Saturday, August 13):

·         Tour de Fat Boise Bicycle Parade will have rolling closures starting at 11 a.m. Boise Police and REACT will be assisting with traffic control. The parade route is as follows:

o   Leaving Ann Morrison Park, go right onto Americana Boulevard

o   Curve right onto 15th Street

o   Go right on Main Street

o   Go left on Capitol Boulevard

o   Go left on Idaho Street

o   Go left on 16th Street

o   Curve right onto Americana Boulevard

o   Turn left into Ann Morrison Park.

·         The intersections of Bannock Street and 10th Street, and Bannock Street and 11th Street will have lane restrictions with flagging starting Monday (August 15) through Friday (August 19) to allow crews manhole access. This work will be performed at night.

·         Cloverdale Road between Florida Drive and Lewisburg Court will have lane restrictions starting Monday (August 15) through the following Monday (August 22). Intermountain Gas will be doing some utility work there.

·         Pierce Park Lane north of Tobi Drive will have lane restrictions with flagging on Monday and Tuesday (August 15-16). Intermountain Gas will be doing gas service work.

·         State Street east of Glenwood Street will have lane restrictions starting Monday (August 15) through Friday (August 19). Idaho Power will be doing utility locating, and this work will be done at night.

·         Ten Mile Road south of Chinden will have lane restrictions with flagging starting Monday (August 15) through Friday (August 19) to allow crews to do water main work.

Motorists are advised to use caution, expect delays, and plan for alternate routes of travel whenever possible.
