Road work and local events to create impacts to traffic on local roadways

  Ada County – Several road construction projects and local events will impact local roadways as early as tomorrow:

·         5th Street (west side) south of Grove Street to Jefferson Street will have lane and parking restrictions from Tuesday (September 6) through Friday (September 9) for overhead cable TV replacement.

·         Barber Drive and Harris Ranch Road between Old Hickory Way and Shady Lane will be closed with no access between Old Hickory Way and Shady Lane on Tuesday (September 7). Crews will be working on an irrigation crossing.

·         Beacon Street between Colorado Avenue and Longmont Avenue will have lane and pedestrian restrictions with flagging starting Wednesday (September 7) through November 2. Crews will be installing a pedestrian signal.

·         Black Cat Road between Franklin Road and Pine Avenue will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday (September 6 and 7) for utility work. Local access will be available off of Pine Avenue only.

·         The intersection of Eagle Road and Meadow Ridge Lane will have lane restrictions with flagging on Tuesday and Wednesday (September 6 and 7) for gas main work.

·         Fairview Avenue between Steelwood Avenue and Pineview Lane will have lane restrictions at NIGHT starting Monday night (September 5) through September 16 for utility work.

·         Gary Lane between Hill Road and State Street will have mobile lane restrictions with flagging starting Tuesday (September 6) through September 20 to allow crews to pull fiber.

·         Grove Street between Capitol Boulevard and 6th Street will be closed on Saturday (September 3) from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. for the Latino Fest Celebration.

·         Grove Street between Capitol Boulevard and 6th Street will be closed on Monday (September 5) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the Japan Day Celebration.

·         Hill Road between Seaman Gulch Road to just east of Gary Lane, will have mobile lane restrictions with flagging starting Tuesday (September 6) through September 20 to allow crews to pull fiber.

·         Linder Road between Monument Street and Stone Valley Drive will have lane restrictions with flagging on Wednesday (September 7) for utility work.

·         Locust Grove Road between the I-84 overpass and Overland Road will have lane restrictions starting Monday (September 5) through Friday (September 9) for utility work.

·         Overland Road (east of Five Mile Road) will have lane restrictions on Tuesday (September 6) to allow for the replacement of fire hydrants.

·         Ten Mile Road between Lake Hazel Road and Columbia Road will be closed starting Tuesday (September 6) to Saturday (September 10) to allow crews to install a new water line.

·         Cherry Lane (westbound) between Waterfall Avenue and Tina Marie Avenue will have lane restrictions with flagging starting Tuesday (September 6) through Friday (September 9) to all for underground cable replacement.

·         10th St (northbound only) between Idaho Street and Bannock Street will be closed on Tuesday (September 6) to Wednesday (September 7) to allow for a crane for building construction.

·         6th Street (west side) between State Street and Idaho Street will have lane restrictions with flagging at NIGHT starting Tuesday (September 6) through Friday (September 9) for utility work.

·         The center lane of 8th Street between Jefferson Street and State Street will have lane restrictions Tuesday and Wednesday (September 6 and 7) for sewer main work.

·         9th Street between State Street and Jefferson Street will be closed from Tuesday (September 6) through Friday (September 9) for sewer main work.

·         Cole Road at the I-184 off-ramp between Westpark Street to north of Denton Street will have lane restrictions with flagging starting Tuesday (September 6) through September 16 for utility work.

·         Curtis Road between Bond Street and Opohonga Street will have lane restrictions starting Tuesday (September 6) through Saturday (September 10) for utility work.

·         Park Lane between Flint Drive and Nephi Lane will have lane restrictions with flagging starting Tuesday (September 6) through September 20 for a road widening project.

·         Pine Avenue (north of NW 4th Street) will have lane restrictions with flagging starting Wednesday (September 7) to September 16 for frontage and utility work for a new subdivision.

·         Seaman Gulch Road from Hill Road to Wyatt Lane will have mobile lane restrictions with flagging starting Tuesday (September 6) through September 20 to allow crews to pull fiber.

·         Warm Springs Avenue between Eckert Road and Council Springs Road will have lane restrictions starting (September 6) through September 15 for utility work.

 
Motorists are advised to use caution in these areas, and plan alternate routes of travel whenever possible. Road closures will have posted detour routes.
