Boise – Starting as early as tomorrow (Saturday, October 8), local events will create impacts to traffic on ACHD roadways:
Events to create impact to local roadways over the weekend
· The Treasure Valley Down Syndrome Association Annual Buddy Walk will be held Saturday (October 8) between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. Two lanes on Capitol Boulevard will be used for this event. The route begins at Capitol Park, then south on Capitol Boulevard to the entrance of Julia Davis Park at River Street. Boise Police and Treasure Valley REACT will be assisting with traffic control.
· The YMCA Harrison Classic will be held on Sunday (October 9) between 2:45 p.m. and 4 p.m. Harrison Boulevard between Hays Street and Hill Road will be closed during that time. Harrison Boulevard between Hill Road and Parkhill Drive will have lane restrictions.
· The City of Trees Marathon will also be held on Sunday (October 9). Parkcenter Boulevard west of Baybrook Court will be closed temporarily at approximately 8 a.m. to allow runners to cross the road.
Motorists can expect delays in this area and are advised to plan for an alternate route of travel whenever possible.
