Boise – Starting this Saturday (February 18), Meridian Road, just south of the Meridian/Ustick intersection, will be closed. Crews will be replacing and installing utilities and pipes underneath the roadway. Flaggers will be in place to help detour traffic, and Ustick Road will remain open with lane restrictions during this work. Businesses and residences will remain accessible. This is preliminary work that must be complete before the project to rebuild the road can begin. This work is anticipated to last until February 27. See the attached detour map.
Road closures on Meridian and Franklin roads starting Saturday
Franklin Road will be closed between Black Cat Road and Ten Mile Road on Saturday and Sunday (February 18 and 19). Crews are replacing a large pipe for the Purdam Drain. This work is being done at Baraya Way. Local access will be allowed from the west at Black Cat Road, and from the east at Ten Mile Road, but motorists will not be able to get through at Baraya Way. The road is expected to reopen in time for the Monday morning commute.
Motorists are advised to use caution and plan alternate routes of travel whenever possible.
