Road construction and utility work to impact local roadways

Ada County – Beginning as early as today, several road construction and utility projects will impact traffic on local Ada County roads.

·         There will be lane reductions on Fairview Avenue at Cole Road.  Contractor Knife River will be trenching to place a gravity irrigation line across Fairview Avenue just west of Cole Road.  The work will be done at night from March 5-8. The work will occur starting Sunday night at 7 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., and continue each subsequent night from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning. This work is expected to be complete Wednesday morning (March 8) at 5 a.m. This is in conjunction with the ACHD Fairview Avenue and Cole Road Intersection Project.  Fairview Avenue will be reduced to only one or two lanes during this work, and flaggers will be used to direct traffic through the work zone.  Motorists should be advised to avoid this intersection during this work. 

·         Curtis Road, south of Cassia Street will have lane restrictions March 6-10 for underground power work.

·         The intersection of Beacon Light Road and Holl Drive will have lane restrictions with flagging March 3-17 for gas main maintenance.

·         Stroebel Road between King Road and Kuna Road will be closed March 3-April 15 for bridge replacement work. The Indian Creek Bridge is out.

·         4th Street between Idaho Street and Main Street will be closed March 4 for tree removal work.

·         5th Street between Grove Street and Bannock Street will have lane restrictions March 6-24 for underground power work.

·         Beacon Light Road between Wing Road and State Highway 16 will have lane restrictions with flagging for crack sealing. This work will be done at night.

·         Black Cat Road south of Victory Road will have shoulder work for asphalt approach construction on March 6-8.

·         The intersections of Broadway Avenue and Commerce Avenue, and Enterprise Avenue will have lane restrictions with flagging March 6-10 for underground cable work.

·         Can Ada Road between New Hope Road and Purple Sage Road will have lane restrictions with flagging March 5-10 for crack sealing. This work will be done at night.

·         Chaparral Road between the Canyon County line and State Highway 16 will have lane restrictions with flagging March 5-10 for crack sealing. This work will be done at night.

·         Chateau Drive between Locust Grove Road and Laughridge Avenue will have lane restrictions with flagging for crack sealing. This work will be done at night.

·         Chateau Drive between Ten Mile Road and Morello Avenue will have lane restrictions with flagging for water main work March 6-8.

·         Ellens Ferry Drive between State Street and Port Lane will have lane restrictions with flagging March 6-10 for overhead cable TV replacement. This work will be done at night.

·         Fairview Avenue between Locust Grove Road and Cloverdale Road will have lane restrictions with flagging March 5-10 for crack sealing. This work will be done at night.

·         Fairview Avenue west of Dawn Drive will have lane restrictions March 7-8 for overhead cable work.

·         Eastbound Fairview Avenue, just east of Locust Grove Road, will have acceleration lane restrictions March 7 for aerial utility work.

·         Franklin Road between SW 1st Street and Meridian Road, will have lane restrictions March 6-24 for underground fiber work.

·         Hickory Way between Fairview Avenue and Justin Way will have lane restrictions with flagging March 5-10 for crack sealing. This work will be done at night.

·         Hillcrest Drive between Roosevelt Street and Pond Street will have lane restrictions with flagging March 6-16 for overhead maintenance.

·         Northbound Linder Road, north of Ann Taylor Street/Coppercloud Way will have lane restrictions March 7-8 for underground cable TV replacement.

·         Locust Grove Road between Fairview Avenue and Ustick Road will have lane restrictions with flagging March 5-10 for crack sealing. This work will be done at night.

·         Meridian Road between King Street and Franklin Road will have lane restrictions March 6-24 for underground fiber work.

·         New Hope Road between Can Ada Road and Wing Road will have lane restrictions with flagging March 5-10 for crack sealing. This work will be done at night.

·         Overland Road west of Wilson Street will have lane restrictions for overhead maintenance March 6-16. 

·         Palmer Lane between Floating Feather Road and Beacon Light Road will have lane restrictions with flagging March 5-10 for crack sealing. This work will be done at night.

·         State Street between Bayou Lane and Mackenzie Lane will have lane restrictions with flagging March 6-10 for overhead cable TV replacement.

·         Ten Mile Road between Amity Road and Lake Hazel Road will be closed March 6-April 3 for sewer main work. Local access will be allowed off of Amity Road only.

·         4th Street between State Street and Grove Street; Grove Street between 3rd Street and 6th Street; 4th Street between Myrtle Street and Broad Street; and 2nd Street between Myrtle Street and Broad Street will have lane restrictions with flagging March 8-10 for soil testing. 

·         Ten Mile Road south of Lake Hazel Road (for 1500 feet) will have lane restrictions with flagging for sewer work from February 27-March 10. 

·         Liberty Street north of Franklin Road will have lane restrictions with flagging March 6 for overhead maintenance.

·         Deer Flat Road east of Kolnes Avenue will have lane restrictions March 6 for power service work. 
·         Emerald Street east of Pond Street will have lane restrictions March 7 for overhead maintenance.  

·         Curtis Road south of Cassia Street will have lane restrictions March 6-10 for underground power work.  

·         Boise Avenue between Law Street and Maze Avenue will have lane restrictions with flagging on March 8-10 for a sewer inspection.

·         4th Street NW between Maple Avenue and Broadway Avenue will have lane restrictions with flagging March 6-10 for power pole work. 

Motorists can expect delays in these areas, and should plan alternate routes of travel whenever possible.
