ACHD to host dedication ceremony for the Hill Road Extension Project

Eagle - The Ada County Highway District will host a dedication ceremony for the Hill Road Extension Project tomorrow (Friday, July 17) at 10:30 a.m. at the Sunset Pavilion A at Stephen C. Guerber Park (2200 Hill Road in Eagle).

Eagle Mayor Jim Reynolds will speak, as well as ACHD Commissioner Paul Woods and former ACHD Commission President, John Franden.

The project improved Hill Road by widening the existing roadway to three lanes and constructing a new three lane road west of Dicky Drive, including bike lanes, sidewalks, and landscaping in the near future. The project will improve the connection between downtown Eagle and Highway 55.

Coupled with other local projects, including the Highway 55/Hill Road signal and the Hill/Plaza intersection project, the extension project will increase connectivity and safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held and refreshments will be served afterwards.
