ACHD Commuteride to unveil van wraps on Club Red vans

Boise - The Treasure Valley will begin to see some new images on the sides of a handful of the Commuteride vans starting this week. In an effort to promote their new "Club Red" program, Commuteride has designed 3 different van wraps that will be displayed on the outside of the vans. The first of these wraps will debut Thursday.
The top half of the van depicts images of your average vanpoolers on their way to work. The images emit the message that these are your neighbors, co-workers, and friends. The bottom half of the new wraps display images of the same commuters enjoying biking, kayaking, golfing, and one is even a Basque dancer. They highlight some of the rich cultural and recreational activities many enjoy as residents of the Treasure Valley.
"We really want people to see the vans and realize that vanpoolers are people you already know and work with, and that vanpooling gives people their commute back by allowing them to sleep, read, listen to music, whatever they want, during their commute," said Maureen Gresham, manager for Commuteride. "We want people to visualize themselves as a vanpooler."
Two more colorful van wraps will debut over the next few weeks.
The new Club Red program is designed to help commuters consider vanpooling in a new light by highlighting the benefits. Vanpooling is a positive alternative to driving your own car, and taking cars off the road is not only good for the environment, also it is also a chance to relax and unwind on the way home from work. In June, Commuteride displaced 1,121,804 vehicle miles from Treasure Valley roadways, which means less pollutants in our skies, and more room on the roadway.
