Garden City - The Ada County Highway District and the Idaho Transportation Department will hold an open house on Tuesday, August 15 to invite public feedback on the Glenwood & State Intersection Study. The open house will be held at the Garden City Council Chambers at Garden City Hall located at 6015 N. Glenwood Street. Business and property owners are invited to attend from 3:30-4:30 p.m., and the general public is invited to attend from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. ACHD and ITD staff will be on hand to answer questions.
The 12-month study is intended to engage local agencies, property owners, businesses, and the community to identify a preferred solution that:
Comments from the public will be taken into consideration as we narrow the list of alternatives and ultimately come up with a final concept design. Following this meeting, we will use public input to consolidate down to a list of three alternatives (two build alternatives and a no-build alternative). We will then have another open house, and based on public preference, come up with a recommended alternative. We will take the final recommended alternative to the ACHD Commission for adoption, and to ITD to approve the final design. The study will conclude in February 2018.
Those unable to attend the open house are encouraged to participate in an online survey, which will be available from August 15-August 30. Open house materials will be available online after the close of business August 16. Written letters can be sent to ACHD at 3775 Adams Street, Garden City, ID 83714.
