32nd & 33rd Street Bridges

Construction Update April 22, 2021: This project is substantially complete. 

 

Past Construction Updates: 

32nd Street: Paving began the week of April 5th. Minor work remains. In water work is complete. Crews are working on final grading in preparation for paving. The anticipated paving date is April 5th. 

33rd Street: Paving began the week of April 5th. Minor work remains. Majority of items are complete. Paving is expected the week of April 5th. 

Work is progressing in 33rd and 32nd. Foundation on 32nd was placed on March 9th on the east and west side. Grade work is complete on 32nd and the boxes have been set. 

Contractor is reviewing options to help limit the footprint of the excavation at the utility pole on 32nd Street. A utility pole truck will be set on Monday, March 1st to support the pole while the northwest wing wall foundation is excavated. 

There was an onsite meeting on February 3rd with the design engineer and Clearwater Construction to discuss easements and construction impacts to adjacent properties.

Tree trimming partially completed. Idaho Power removed a light pole on 33rd Street. Ongoing utility relocations.

General Description:
This winter the Ada County Highway District will begin construction on the 32nd and 33rd Street Bridges. This work will be done at the intersections of 32nd Street and Hill Road and 33rd Street and Forsythia Street. Crews will replace the existing, aging structures with concrete box culverts.
