The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) is pleased to announce that pedestrian improvements are planned for the west side of Leadville Avenue, from Boise Avenue to Williams Street! The project was requested by residents in the neighborhood and seeks to improve pedestrian access by creating continuous sidewalk access from Boise Ave. to Williams St.
The project will:
Construction on the new sidewalk is expected to start in late August 2009 and will take approximately three to four weeks to complete.
During this time, some lane restrictions may be in place and temporary on-street parking interruptions will occur. Residents who park on the west side of the road where the work is being done will be asked to park elsewhere so that crews have appropriate and safe space to work in.
Once the new concrete sidewalk has been poured, we kindly ask that residents not use the new concrete for at least four days.
