Pierce Street, Washington Street To Shenandoah Drive

The Ada County Highway District is designing sidewalks for Pierce Street between Washington Street and Shenandoah Drive as part of an effort to improve pedestrian facilities and safety for students walking to and from Roosevelt Elementary. This project was one of several identified in the East Boise Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan as a priority for sidewalk completion.

Proposed improvements include

  • Constructing curb, gutter and sidewalk on one side of Pierce Street
  • Rebuilding the street and adding pedestrian ramps
  • Project design

The majority of the improvements will be completed within the public right-of-way.
