2019 Federal Aid Capital Maintenance Phases 1 & 2

General Description:
This fall the Ada County Highway District will begin work on 2019 Federal Aid Capital Maintenance project. This project includes pavement rehabilitation, select pipe replacement and pedestrian ramp upgrades. This project will be completed in phases. 

Phase One:

Milling and Paving on Fairview Avenue, between Cloverdale Road and Eagle Road will start as early as Sunday, October 6th, and will continue until late October, weather dependent. Work will be done at night on weekdays, between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM or on weekends, day and/or night work. Motorists should expect lane closures, lane shifts, and flaggers. The section of Fairview from Eagle Road to Dixie Lane will likely be postponed until the spring of 2020, due to weather. Milling and paving on Latah Street, Division Avenue, and Annett Street is scheduled for Spring 2020.

  • Annett Street, Victory Road to Targee Street: Concrete work complete.
  • Division Avenue, Boise Avenue to Beacon Street: Concrete work complete.
  • Latah Street, Overland Road to Alpine Street: Concrete work is ongoing.
  • Fairview Avenue, Dixie Lane (just east of Locust Grove Road) to Cloverdale Road: Milling and paving on Fairview, Cloverdale to Eagle will start on October 6th. Work is being done at night and/or on the weekends. Paving is complete except for a turn lane and a couple of approaches. Paving is suspended due to temperatures but will resume in November.

Phase Two:

Construction Update as of 10/6/19:  Ongoing sidewalk improvements on both Emerald Street and Orchard Street. Contractor is working on a pipe replacement at Orchard and Albion. Concrete work will be done during the day and may require daytime lane closures between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Roadway work will be done at night between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM on weeknights or on weekends (day and/or night). Roadwork may be delayed until spring 2020, depending on the weather.

  • Emerald Street, Cole Road to Orchard Street: Concrete work ongoing
  • Orchard Street, Overland Road to Franklin Road: Pipe replacements and concrete ongoing
