Cloverdale Road, Ustick Road to McMillan Road

Construction Update as of 10/11/19: Sidewalk placement on the west side between Ustick and McMillan is complete. Curb and gutter on the east side between Ustick and McMillan will be placed the week of October 14th.

Construction Update as of 10/02/19: All signals on Cloverdale Road from McMillan to Chinden are expected to be active by the end of this week. The pedestrian detour on Cloverdale from Ustick to McMillan will move to the west side of Cloverdale by the end of this week. Excavation work is complete on the east side up to Musket. Once sidewalks are placed on the west side then excavation can begin from Musket to the south end of the project.

Construction Update as of 9/25/19:  Signals and luminaire work is near completion between McMillan and Chinden. Sidewalk panel replacement between McMillan and Chinden has begun and should be complete by the end of the month. Traffic has been shifted to the west side of Cloverdale between Ustick and McMillan. Sidewalks on the west side between Ustick and McMillan are being placed the week of 8/26/19 and should be complete the week of 9/30/19. Three lanes of traffic are open between McMillan and Chinden. Excavation work is underway on the east side of Cloverdale between Ustick and McMillan and completion will follow shortly behind the gas line installation.

Construction Updates as of 9/06/19:

The westernmost lane between McMillan and Chinden was paved on 9/04/19. Striping between McMillan and Chinden is complete with the exception of the western side of the roadway. Traffic has been shifted to the west side of Cloverdale between Ustick and McMillan. Sidewalks on the west side between Ustick and McMillan are being placed. Three lanes of traffic are open between McMillan and Chinden. Intermountain Gas is installing new gas lines on the east side between Ustick and McMillan.Excavation work is underway on the east side between Ustick and McMillan.

Construction Updates as of (8/26/19):

Crews paved the west side of Cloverdale between Ustick and McMillan the week of August 19th. There is ongoing work to install sidewalks on the west side of the road which will continue into early September. Intermountain Gas is installing new gas lines on the east side of the road. Excavation on the east side of the road is underway.

Please Note: Traffic is on the west side of Cloverdale Road between Ustick and McMillan. There are three lanes of traffic open on Cloverdale Road between McMillan and Chinden.

 

Construction Update as of (8/9/19):

There is ongoing work to install curb, gutter and sidewalk on the west side of Cloverdale Road.

Bottom lift asphalt paving for the west side of Cloverdale Road will begin on August 15th.  

After paving is complete, traffic will swap to the west side of Cloverdale Road and work will begin on the east side. 

Construction Update as of (7/26/19):

Paving on the west side of Cloverdale from Ustick to McMillan is tentatively planned for mid-August. After paving traffic would swap to the west side of the road to allow for work to begin on the east side.

There is work to place base materials between Ustick and McMillan on the west side of the road. Crews are also working on curb, gutter and sidewalk.

Traffic will be in one lane in each direction on the east side of Cloverdale between Ustick to McMillan during this phase of work.

The current construction schedule is weather dependent and may be subject to change.

Construction began on January 7th, 2019.

This project will be built in conjunction with the Cloverdale, McMillan to Chinden project.

The contractor for this project is Central Paving.

Project Description

  • Widening Cloverdale Road between Ustick Road and McMillan Road to two lanes in each direction, with a center turn lane.
  • Adding bike lanes, and continuous curb, gutter and sidewalk.
  • Constructing a new traffic signal at Cloverdale and Edna.

Project Purpose

  • Improve traffic flow
  • Increase safety for those who walk, bike and drive.
