Construction Update as of April 9, 2021: Utility work started in advance of construction and is ongoing. Century Link has pulled their contractor off the project, which may delay ACHD's work. Irrigation pipe installation is complete. Crews are now working on storm drain pipe installation. Crews are also working on excavation and placement of base gravels on the west side of Maple Grove Road.

Construction Update as of April 2, 2021: Crews are working on excavation and placement of base gravels on the west side of Maple Grove. Irrigation pipe installation is complete and crews are working on storm drain pipe installation.

Construction Update as of March 23rd, 2021: Maple Grove Road re-opened yesterday afternoon. Thank you for your patience!

Construction Update as of March 19th, 2021: The road will re-open by end of day March 22nd.  We appreciate your patience during the road closure. After that, the contractor will turn their focus to building the roadway improvements. Work is currently on the west side of Maple Grove with traffic and pedestrians on the east side. While the road will be open, there may be daytime lane restrictions with flagging. Utility relocations began in advance of construction and will continue throughout.

Construction Update as of March 4th, 2021: The road closure on Maple Grove Road will be extended until March 22nd. The extension is a result of several factors. First, there were delays related to utility relocations. Then there were added delays due to weather and the contractor's schedule. Lastly, the work on the Five Mile Creek bridge is time-consuming and complicated. There are a lot of things that have to be done just right before the next thing can happen. In this instance, there were issues that requires us to take additional time to complete the work while maintaining the safety of the traveling public and workers. The hard closure location and pedestrian detours remain the same. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this work may cause.
