Construction Update as of 01/17/2020: Meridian Road between Albertsons and E. Carmel Drive will be closed for three to four weeks beginning January 20th, weather permitting.The closure will allow for work on the bridge at the Settlers Canal. Signage has been placed in advance to notify drivers.

Excavation and demolition for the Five Mile Creek bridge has begun.  Idaho Power and the communication companies are relocating their utilities. Irrigation work began on December 18th and is ongoing. Upgrades on the Meridian water system are underway. Box culvert installation at the Settlers Canal will begin on January 20th, 2020.

Road Closures: Woodbury Drive from Meridian Road to Arrowwood Way will be closed from January 2nd to January 16th for work on irrigation pipe. James Court Drive will be closed in early February for work on irrigation and water service.

The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) and Central Paving began construction of the Meridian Road project in December. Utility work begin in advance of construction. Motorists should expect lane restrictions and flaggers as necessary during construction.

Project Description
The project includes widening Meridian Road between Cherry Lane and Ustick Road to two lanes in each direction, with a center turn lane, as well as adding bike lanes, and continuous curb, gutter and sidewalk.

  • Increase safety for those that walk, bike and drive.
