Construction Update as of 01/10/2020: This project is substantially complete.
Starting late fall/early winter the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) will begin work on the State Street Lighting Improvements Project. The federal aid safety project includes installing 14 street lights to improve nighttime visibility and safety on State Street between 16th and 23rd streets. In anticipation of the project, utility and prep work will begin as early as next week.
The utility/prep work will be done during the day and there will be lane closures between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. as necessary. Once construction begins, impacts could also include general construction noise, dust, equipment backup alarms and ground vibration. All work is expected to be complete by the end of 2019, weather permitting.
