Construction Update as of 03/19/2020: Crews will be paving the west side of Ten Mile Road, McMillan to Chinden on March 23-24th. There will be an evening traffic swap shortly after the paving is complete. UPDATE: The swap expected to occur on Wednesday, March 25th outside of the AM peak commute. This was previously scheduled for the evening of March 24th. Traffic will swap to the west side of Ten Mile Road in order for work to begin on the east.
This project is expected to complete Fall 2020.
About the Project:
Improvements on Ten Mile between McMillan and Chinden will include two lanes in each direction with a center turn lane, bike lanes, sidewalks, and a new pedestrian signal at Malta Drive. In addition, a new traffic signal and additional thru and turn lanes will be constructed at the Ten Mile and Lost Rapids Drive intersection.
Impacts could include lane restrictions with flaggers, temporary closures, general construction noise, dust, equipment back-up alarms and ground vibration. Most work will be during the day, Monday thru Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., but could include night and weekend work if necessary.
