Victory Road Bridge #1275

Construction Update as of 4/25/19:

Victory road was re-opened on April 25th. Minor work remains, including concrete sidewalk and landscaping.

Work on the canal is complete. Crews are working on roadway improvements. Paving operations began the week of April 15th. Crews are also working on sidewalk.

On January 8th, Victory Road from Locust Grove to Eagle Road was closed to through traffic and will remain closed for the duration of construction. Crews will be replacing the Victory Road Bridge #1275 at the Eightmile Lateral. There will be no access between Bayou Bar Avenue to Siduri Avenue.

The box culvert has been set and crews are working on headwalls and canal liner. Crews are also working on pipe installation, seepage bed installation, and roadway widening. There is ongoing utility work.

General Description:

• Replace Victory Road Bridge, located 1/4 mile east of Locust Grove Road.
• Widen to three lanes with sidewalks and bike lanes.

What to Expect:

• The contractor may close Victory Road at the bridge for the duration of the project. Local access will be maintained.
• General Construction noise and dust.
• Equipment back up alarms and ground vibration.
• Crews are expected to work weekdays but there may be some weekend work as necessary.
