State Street, Glenwood Street to Collister Drive

General Description:

The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) is beginning the design development to construct sidewalk and improve pedestrian ramps on both sides of State Street between Glenwood Street and Collister Drive. 

The goal of the project is to provide continuous five-foot-wide sidewalks on both sides of the two mile stretch of State Street and improve pedestrian ramps. The project will assess the existing sidewalk and pedestrian ramps to verify their compliance with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA). Existing sidewalks and pedestrian ramps that are compliant with the ADA will be retained to the extent possible. The future expansion of State Street will be accommodated where possible.

The project takes into account the State Street Alignment Study between Glenwood Street and 23rd Street.
