Construction Update as of October 1, 2021: Demo complete. Grade work complete. East and west side curbing complete.  DIs have been placed. Sidewalk work ongoing. Nearly complete. Main line paving complete. Concrete driveway work ongoing. Miscellaneous landscape repair work ongoing.

Construction Update as of July 30, 2021: ACHD is coordinating street light replacement and relocation with the City of Boise and Idaho Power. The contractor anticipates starting work on August 2nd.

Construction Update as of June 11, 2021: The Preconstruction Meeting was held on May 21st. ACHD is currently waiting on project submittals from the contractor before a Notice to Proceed is issued. 

Construction Update as of April 29, 2021: The Ada County Highway District will start construction on the 38th Street project between Bush Avenue and Sunset Avenue as early as mid-May. Construction is anticipated to be complete in the fall.

Project description

• Remove the barrier just south of Bush Avenue
• Add curb, gutter and sidewalk on the west side of the street
• Construct curb and gutter on the east side of the street
• Add pedestrian ramps
• Rebuild street to meet modern standards
• Majority of improvements will be completed within the public right-of-way
