Construction Update as of 05/29/2020: Crews will be asphalt paving on Ten Mile from McMillan to Chinden on Monday and Tuesday next week (June 1st & 2nd). This work will cause temporary travel delays and periodic traffic shifts. There will be flaggers to help guide traffic. We kindly ask you drive with caution through the work zone.
After asphalt paving, crews will place permanent striping and then the roadway will be mostly complete. However, there will still be daytime lane restrictions for the outside lanes while crews finish work on landscaping and street light installation.
Road Closures:
This project is expected to complete Fall 2020.
About the Project:
Improvements on Ten Mile between McMillan and Chinden will include two lanes in each direction with a center turn lane, bike lanes, sidewalks, and a new pedestrian signal at Malta Drive. In addition, a new traffic signal and additional thru and turn lanes will be constructed at the Ten Mile and Lost Rapids Drive intersection.
Construction Impacts
Impacts could include lane restrictions with flaggers, temporary closures, general construction noise, dust, equipment back-up alarms and ground vibration. Most work will be during the day, Monday thru Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., but could include night and weekend work if necessary.
