Ten Mile Road, Victory Road to Overland Road

Construction Update: May 20, 2022 - Placing subgrade for intersection. 3/4" being placed at roundabout. Closure at Ten Mile and Victory started March 2nd. 2 week closure to install SD, sewer, water and new signal poles. Issues with water delayed re-opening to May 23rd. Placing curb at roundabout anticipated May 19th. Concrete paving anticipated starting in June. 

Construction Update: May 12, 2022 - Placing subgrade for intersection. 3/4" being placing at roundabout. Irrigation work is complete. Closure at Ten Mile and Victory started March 2nd - 2-week closure to install SD, Sewer and Water, new signal poles. Future use conduit being installed.

Construction Update: May 6, 2022 - Placing subgrade for intersection. Irrigation work is complete. Closure at Ten Mile and Victory started March 2nd. Two week closure to install SD, sewer and water, new signal poles. Storm drain anticipated starting April 18th.  Future use conduit being installed.

Construction Update: April 29, 2022 - Placing subgrade for intersection. Lamont opened to local traffic. Irrigation work is complete. Closure at Ten Mile and Victory started March 7th. Storm drain anticipated starting April 18th. Future use conduit being installed.

Construction Update: April 22, 2022 - Placing subgrade for intersection. Lamont opened to local traffic. Irrigation work is complete. Closure at Ten Mile and Victory started March 7th. Storm drain anticipated starting April 18th.  Gas re-location at Ten Mile and Victory starting the 25th.

Construction Update: April 15, 2022 - Rip Rap at Bridge. Placing subgrade for Intersection. Lamont opened to local traffic. Irrigation work complete. Closure at Ten Mile and Victory started March 7th. Conduit being placed down Ten Mile. Storm drain anticipated starting April 18th. 

Construction Update: April 8, 2022 - Bridgework ongoing. Placing subgrade for the intersection. Lamont opened to local traffic. Irrigation work being placed down Ten Mile. Closure at Ten Mile and Victory started March 7th. Conduit being placed down Ten Mile. 

Construction Update: March 4, 2022 - Pedestrian ramps being installed starting Feb 2nd at Linder and Overland. Bridge work ongoing. Placing subgrade for intersection. Excavating for pond. Paving Lamont anticipated March 4th. Closure at Ten Mile and Victory starting March 7th.

Construction Update: February 25, 2022 - Pedestrian ramps being installed starting Feb 2nd at Linder and Overland. Sewer work on Lamont Street. Installing water line across Ten Mile at Lamont. Night work February 22nd. Bridge work ongoing. Placing subgrade for intersection. Excavating for pond.

Construction Update: February 18, 2022 - Preconstruction meeting was held January 18th. NTP scheduled for January 25th. Pedestrian ramps being installed starting Feb 2nd at Linder and Overland. Sewer work on Lamont Street. Bridge work ongoing. Excavating for pond. Ten Mile will be closed between Victory and Overland on February 22nd from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. as well as Lamont for sewer work. 

Construction Update: February 11, 2022 - Preconstruction meeting was held January 18th. NTP scheduled for January 25th. Pedestrian ramps being installed starting Feb 2nd at Linder and Overland. Removal of trees ongoing. Sewer work on Lamont Street.

 

General Description: 

The Ada County Highway District will start construction on the Ten Mile Road Project between Overland and Victory late January 2022. Construction is anticipated to be complete fall of 2022. The purpose of the project is to improve intersection and roadway operations, increase safety for current and future motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists, and accommodate future traffic volumes.

Proposed Project

Ten Mile Road, Victory to Overland

  • Widen Ten Mile Road to two lanes in each direction with a center turn lane, including center medians
  • Add curb, gutter and multi-use pathways on both sides
  • Updated roadway design

Ten Mile Road and Victory Road Intersection

  • Build a multi-lane roundabout at the Ten Mile and Victory intersection
  • The roundabout will include two lanes leading to the roundabout, with the left lane entering the roundabout and the right lane becoming a right-turn-only lane 
  • Include curb, gutter, multi-use pathways, crosswalks, and splitter islands
  • Add a stormwater basin south of the intersection
  • The roundabout is being designed to be easily expanded to a full dual-lane roundabout when needed
  • Updated intersection design
