The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) cares about providing facilities that are accessible for all people and abilities. In accordance with the American with Disability Act (ADA) ACHD is updating its transition plan to ensure that all pedestrian facilities within the agency right-of-way are safe and accessible for all users.

As part of this effort, ACHD has evaluated over 2,600 miles of sidewalk and 26,600 curb ramps and developed a plan to guide ACHD efforts to address inaccessible facilities.

Please join us on September 19th or October 1 to learn more about this effort and tell us what you think.

If you are unable to attend either meeting, the presentation and meeting materials will be available online by close of business on September 20, 2018. While your comments are always welcome, they can be best used if received by October 19, 2018.

Sign language interpretation will be provided at the open house. For questions about accessibility or to request accommodations, please, contact Edinson Bautista, ACHD Sr. Transportation Planner at (208) 387-6238 or, preferably by September 17, 2018.
