Student Intern - Commuteride

Applications are now being accepted for a Student Intern in Commuteride Department at Ada County Highway District in the Boise, Idaho area. This is a paid intern position with a wage of $12.00 per hour. This position will remain open until filled.

The Student Intern position is available to full-time students only. Student Interns may work a flexible schedule with a maximum of 20 hours per week during the school year and 40 hours per week during the summer and other school breaks.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with in-person and virtual marketing and outreach events and education opportunities targeting local businesses and community members
• Work with Commuteride marketing staff on the design and implementation of its annual marketing campaign to encourage local employers to promote alternative commute options in their workplaces
• Create social and digital media content related to the marketing campaign and other Commuteride initiatives as needed

Qualifications:

• The successful candidate must be organized, detail oriented, have excellent communication and customer service skills, and the ability to produce professional written work.
• Requires proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, social media (Facebook/Instagram/Twitter). Some experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, email marketing platforms (e.g., Hubspot, Constant Contact, MailChimp, etc.) is highly encouraged.
• Preferred candidates will be working toward a degree in Communication, Public Relations, or a field of study related to transportation.
• Must have a valid Idaho Driver's License and be 18 years or older.
