  • E. Bower Street, N. Main Street to east end - Concrete demo complete. Grade prep and formwork has started. Pipe work continues. Shutdown completed August 25th to lower the City of Meridians water line to clear the conflict with a new drainage line. Anticipated pave date is September 6th and 7th.

  • E. Bower Street, N. Main Street to east end - Concrete demo nearly complete. Grade prep and form work has started. Pipe word continues. Shutdown scheduled for August 25th to lower the City of Meridian's water line to clear the conflict with a new drainage line.

  • E.5th Ave, E. Franklin Road to E. Bower Street -Concrete demo nearly complete. Vaults and pipe work continues. Lane taper for new ped ramps on Franklin/5th started. Contractor will pull TTC off the roadway each night. 
  • E. Bower Street, N. Main Street to east end - Concrete demo nearly complete. Grade prep and form work has started. Pipe work continues. Existing water line conflicts with irrigation. Contractor is working with the City to get the water main lowered.

Construction Update: July 15, 2022 - 4th St. - Washington to Janie. Concrete placements continue. Utility work complete for City of Meridian. Working with other utilities to relocate and remove existing services. Anticipated pave date set for July 20/21. 5th Ave. - Fire hydrants have been relocated and flushed. City of Meridian has been overseeing this process. Utility coordination continues. Concrete placement continues. Anticipated pave date set for July 20/21.

Working with other utilities to relocate and remove existing services. 5th Ave - Contractor working on misc. demo. Fire hydrants have been relocated and flushed. City of Meridian has been overseeing. Utility coordination continues. 

Construction Update: July 1, 2022 - 4th St. - Washington to Janie. Contractor working on misc. demo. Hope to start placing concrete next week. Utility work complete for City of Meridian.  5th Avenue - Contractor working on misc demo. FH have been relocated and flushed. City of Meridian has been overseeing. Utility coordination continues. No issues to report from Dairy Days. 

Construction Update: June 24, 2022 - 4th St. - Washington to Janie. Contractor milled Friday June 17th. Utility work complete. 5th Avenue - Contractor milled Friday, June 17th. ACHD has coordinated with the contractor to ensure access during Dairy Days scheduled for June 25th. 

Construction Update: 4th St. - Washington to Janie. Pipe work on going. Concrete demo and prep underway. Contractor anticipates milling on Friday, June 17th. 5th Ave. Contractor may start milling Friday, June 17th. 

General description:
The Ada County Highway District will start construction on the 2021 Residential Capital Maintenance Project in early May. This pavement maintenance project primarily consists of removing and replacing all or a portion of the existing asphalt pavement (depending on the street segment). Work also includes reconstructing adjacent curb ramps to meet modern standards and minor stormwater pipe replacements in downtown Meridian. Construction is anticipated to be complete fall of 2022.

  • State Avenue, 2nd Street to Cathy Lane
  • Washington Avenue, 4th Street to Cathy Lane

Construction impacts:

  • Temporary on-street parking impacts 
  • Lane restrictions 
  • Temporary closures 
  • Crews will work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. unless otherwise approved
  • The contractor will work with property owners to minimize impacts
  • General construction noise, dust, equipment backup alarms, and ground vibration
