Construction Update March 4th, 2021:
Due to an issue with the sewer connection to the Stinker Store on the northwest corner of Cole and Victory, there will be lane restrictions on southbound Cole Road starting as early as March 10th. The two southbound right turn lanes will be closed for up to three weeks. Crews will remove the existing concrete panels and curb/gutter, work on the sewer hook-up, and then restore everything removed.
The bike lane will remain open and pedestrians will be detoured into the closed lanes during non-working hours (nights and weekend), with ADA-compliant pedestrian barricades in place. Flaggers will assist pedestrians through the work zone during work hours.
We apologize for the inconvenience as we address this additional work.
Construction Update as of 12/17/2020: This project is considered substantially complete!
Construction of the concrete median islands is anticipated to be complete by December 18th, weather dependent. After that all travel lanes will be open. The new traffic signals were activated the night of November 24th. Crews are working median construction and permanent pavement markings, work is weather dependent. Asphalt paving and concrete paving are complete.
Traffic Information: Traffic is on the north side of Victory Road and the west side of Cole Road.
The traffic pattern at the Cole and Victory intersection is as follows:

Utility Work to Begin in mid-September
Starting in November the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) will begin construction on the Cole and Victory ThrU -Turn Intersection Project that includes widening Cole Road between Victory Road and McGlochlin Street. In preparation for that work, some trees will be cleared so Idaho Power can relocate their power poles. Work is expected to begin within the next two weeks.
The utility work will be done during the day and there will be lane restrictions with flaggers as necessary.
As the November construction time frame nears, please watch your mailbox for more specifics on what neighbors and commuters can expect during the road widening project.
