Ada County Highway District

Lake Hazel Road and Five Mile Road Intersection

In June the Ada County Highway District (ACHD) hosted an open house for the community to review the proposed design of the Lake Hazel and Five Mile intersection. If you provided feedback - thank you!

We are about to enter final design and want to offer you another chance to review the design. Please note that while your comments are always welcome, the comment period closed on October 4, 2018.

The project includes reconstructing the intersection to include:

  • Additional thru lanes and turn lanes
  • Controlled access with raised curb
  • A multi-use pathway on the Lake Hazel approaches for pedestrians and bicyclists to share
  • Curb, gutter, sidewalk, and buffered bike lanes on the Five Mile approaches

The intersection will be designed to allow for U-Turns
