Fairview Avenue Pedestrian Project

Construction update as of July 22, 2021: The Fairview and Milwaukee segment is nearly complete, excluding the SW corner. Temporary sidewalks have been installed on the SW side

Construction update as of July 9, 2021: The Fairview and Curtis segment is complete. Temporary sidewalks have been installed on the southwest side of Fairview and Milwaukee. Irrigation work will need to be completed in October. The sidewalk is complete on the north side of Fairview. Pavement marking remains. 

Construction update as of June 11, 2021: ACHD is currently waiting on pedestrian poles for Fairview and Curtis. A temporary sidewalk has been installed on the southwest side of Fairview and Milwaukee. Irrigation work will need to be completed in October. The southeast side of Fairview and Milwaukee is complete. 

General Description:
This spring the Ada County Highway District will begin work at the intersections of Fairview Avenue and Curtis Road, and Fairview Avenue and Milwaukee Street. This project will upgrade these intersections so they are more accessible to all users. Work includes replacing current pedestrian poles at the intersections with accessible pedestrian signal push buttons, and upgrading pedestrian ramps so they are compliant with the Americans With Disabilities Act.
