Bogart Lane, Sloan Street to State Street

September 17, 2021 Update: Minimal irrigation rework needed due to damage from excavation. Contractor to complete this work when irrigation is shut off for the season. Minor punchlist items remain. Project expected to be substantially complete after the contractor fixes the narrow walkway.  Irrigation box covers still need to be set. Contractor hopes to be done this weekend - September 19th.

September 3, 2021 Update: Minimal irrigation rework needed due to damage from excavation. Contractor to complete this work when irrigation is shut off for the season. Paving complete. Curing complete. Minor items remain. Project expected to complete 9/6 after the irrigation box covers are set. 

August 26, 2021 Update: Irrigation work complete. Working with the ditch company to provide adequate covers for the open irrigation boxes throughout the project. Minimal irrigation rework needed due to damage from excavation. Contractor is continuing to work on this. Paving nearly complete. Minor fixes needed to bring cross slope into ADA compliance. Project expected to complete next week. 

August 19, 2021 Update: Irrigation work complete. Working with the ditch company to provide adequate covers for the open irrigation boxes throughout the project. Minimal irrigation rework needed due to damage from excavation. Contractor is working on this now. Paving nearly complete. Minor fixes needed to bring cross slope into ADA compliance. Project expected to complete next week. 

August 13, 2021 Update: Irrigation work complete. Working with the ditch company to provide adequate covers for the open irrigation boxes throughout the project. Minimal irrigation rework needed due to damage from excavation. Contractor is working on this now. Paving nearly complete.

August 6, 2021 Update: Electrical work is complete. Demo work continues. Pedestrian ramps are now complete. Irrigation work is complete. ACHD is working with the ditch company to provide adequate covers for the open irrigation boxes throughout the project. Minimal irrigation rework is needed due to damage from excavation, the contractor is currently working on this. Paving is nearly complete. 

July 19, 2021 Update: Electrical work is ongoing. Demo work continues. Miscellaneous concrete pedestrian ramps have been placed. Irrigation work is now complete. ACHD is working with the ditch company to provide adequate covers for the open irrigation boxes throughout the project. 

June 29, 2021 Update: The contractor has mobilized. Electrical work has started. Minor demo of the existing sidewalk has started. TTC and ESC items have been set. 

General Description: The Ada County Highway District will start construction on the Bogart Lane, Sloan Street to State Street project early June. Construction is anticipated to be complete in late August. 

Construction Impacts:

  • Lane restrictions 
  • Temporary on-street parking impacts
  • General construction noise, dust, equipment backup alarms and ground vibration
  • Crews will work from 7am to 7pm unless otherwise approved
  • The contractor will work with homeowners to maintain access

Improvements:

  • Install an attached 7' wide asphalt pathway with extruded asphalt curb on the west side of Bogart Lane between Pocono Street and Sloan Street.
  • Construct a 5' attached sidewalk on the south side of Sloan Street  and on the east side of Bogart Lane along the southeast corner property.
  • Move the existing crosswalk to the south side of Sloan Street at Bogart Lane and install a rectangular rapid flashing beacon.

Project Purpose:

  • Provide a pathway for children walking to school
  • Improve safety
