2021 Cul-De-Sac

Construction update as of July 30, 2021: Work has started. Roughly 18 Cul-de-Sac locations have been completed.

Construction update as of June 21, 2021: Preconstruction meeting was held on May 3rd. The Notice to Proceed was scheduled for May 10th. The contractor anticipates starting mid-summer. 

General Description:
This spring, the Ada County Highway District will be applying a slurry seal to your cul-de-sac to help protect and prolong the life of the pavement. The slurry seal is similar to a chip seal treatment, but designed specifically for the narrow confines and unique features of a cul-de-sac. 

What to Expect:

• The cul-de-sac will be closed for approximately four hours.
• Please do not park in the cul-de-sac during this time.
• You can drive on the cul-de-sac after the initial four-hour period; however, it will take approximately 30 days for the seal to completely cure. 
• During the 30-day cure time, it is common to see some of the rock in the slurry seal become loose. This is common and the excess rock will be swept by the contractor at the end of the project. 

Work will be done in Maintenance Zone 2.
