On February 5, 2014 the Kuna Crossing Feasibility and Implementation Plan was adopted by the ACHD Commission. Option 7A Swan Falls to Linder Road was choosen as the recommended option for the plan. The Technical Appendix is available upon request.

The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) and the City of Kuna invite you to a series of workshops for the Kuna Crossing Plan. Your input is critical to the process.

Schedule of Events | Kuna High School Cafeteria | 637 E. Deer Flat Road

July 9     

• Afternoon workshop |12 to 2 p.m.  | Short presentation to begin at 12:15 p.m. 
• Evening workshop | 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.  | Short presentation to begin at 5:45 p.m.

Hands-on workshops where participants will learn about the plan, explore alternatives and provide input. Please note that the afternoon and evening sessions will address the same materials.    

July 10   

• Drop in session | 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.     

Work session for project team and stakeholder representatives. The public is welcome to drop in anytime.   

July 11   

• Drop in session | 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.   
• Evening workshop | 5:30-7:30 p.m. | Short presentation to begin at 5:45 p.m.

The public is invited to review and comment on the most promising alternatives developed over the course of the workshops. The public is welcome to drop in anytime.

The Ada County Highway District (ACHD) and the City of Kuna have begun work on the Kuna Crossing Feasibility and Implementation Plan. The goal of the plan is to identify the need, location and feasibility of crossing the Union Pacific railroad tracks and Indian Creek. Key elements of the study include:

• Identifying the need and purpose of a crossing
• Identifying potential cumulative impacts
• Developing a logical sequence of improvements
• Identifying a funding outline (should a crossing be found necessary)
• Outlining the process for implementation

The plan will also serve as a policy document to aid in future decision making for both ACHD and the City of Kuna.
