Home MenuAdvisory Committees
Transparency and community engagement are core values at ACHD. We believe that it is important to be open with the public and to listen to their concerns. Advisory committees are one way that we stay true to these values. Advisory committees are made up of community members who volunteer their time to provide input on a variety of issues. These issues can range from transportation planning to environmental protection. Committee members share their expertise and perspectives and help ACHD to make better decisions.
By working with advisory committees, ACHD can ensure our programs and services reflect the needs of the community. We are grateful for the time and dedication of our committee members, and we value their input.
These committees are:

The ADA Committee advises the Commission about mobility and accessibility needs for citizens with disabilities.
Bicycle Advisory Committee (BAC)
The BAC advises the Commission about existing and new facilities, roadway maintenance needs specific to cyclists, and other cycling-related opportunities.
Capital Investment Advisory Committee (CICAC)
CICAC reviews all ACHD capital improvement plans.
Commercial Developers Advisory Committee (CDAC)
CDAC advises ACHD about its budget, capital improvement program, impact fees, development regulations, and other commercial development matters.
