Home MenuBicycle Resources
The Ada County Highway District plans for bicycle facilities as part of all of our roadway projects. Up to $2 million, or approximately five percent of our annual capital budget is allocated each year to cycling facilities, primarily in the form of lanes on new or expanded roads.
Using the ACHD Bike Map
To help cyclists get the most out of the existing road network, ACHD has developed an online bike map. The map highlights bike facilities, recommended routes, and various destinations, including schools, parks, libraries, and civic facilities. Printed bike maps are available at the ACHD office, ACHD Commuteride, and most area bicycle shops.

Planning for a Bike Friendly Future
ACHD is continuing its efforts to complete a bicycle facility network that maximizes safety, provides connectivity, and supports bicycling as a viable transportation mode among Ada County road users. We understand cyclists are a major part of the ACHD community and we are focused on creating infrastructure that is cyclist-friendly.
